Allergy ≠ sensitivity, we must figure it out!

Allergy ≠ sensitivity, we must figure it out!

What is sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin is an acquired skin condition/type, not a disease. In addition to congenital sensitive skin caused by genetic factors, it is caused by the damage of the skin barrier and the decline of barrier function caused by the abuse of cosmetics and the deterioration of the protective ability of the sebum membrane, which leads to the invasion of external substances.

What is an allergy?

Skin allergy is the dysfunction of the cellular immune system caused by external stimuli. After exposure to some allergens, the immune system alerts the reaction caused by severe cases such as urticaria and redness.

Occurs for different reasons

Allergy: From the perspective of allergens, there are food factors, seasonal factors, chemical factors, genetic factors, etc.; from the fundamental cause, it is caused by the oxidation of basocytes and mast cells by free radicals in the body and the destruction of the immune system.
Sensitivity: There are mainly congenital and acquired points. The former is mainly related to genetics and physical fitness, while the latter is mainly related to improper maintenance, abuse of cosmetics, sun exposure, wind and sand blowing and other factors.

recovery time varies

Allergies: Relatively easy to heal, mild symptoms can recover within a few days. For severe allergies, please seek medical attention in time.
Sensitive: It belongs to the damaged barrier, and the recovery period is relatively long, which may take 6-12 months or even longer, depending on your skin care habits and regular skin management.
